Honeymoon Period definition and meaning

The honeymoon period is a term also known as the Winning Phase or Beginner’s Luck. When it comes to its use in casinos, the term is often used by more experienced players of a particular casino game to refer to the new players’ winning streak.

For example, if it’s your first time sitting down at a poker table and you end up winning a few hands in a row, someone else might call your streak a honeymoon period. The term is closely connected to the actual honeymoon when things are just perfect and everything goes your way. However, it also alludes that the players’ lucky streak is about to end and that they will be snapped back to reality, where their inexperience will show.
