Caribbean Stud Poker definition and meaning

Caribbean stud poker is also known as casino stud poker and is a casino table game based on five-card stud poker. The game was created in an attempt to introduce poker players to casino table games.

Caribbean stud poker is played against the house, and the gameplay is relatively simple. Every player at the table has to place a forced ante. Then, each player and the dealer are dealt five cards each. The dealer then turns one of his cards face up, after which the players can look at their cards. After checking their hand, the players can decide whether they wish to fold or bet.

In addition, the game includes a progressive jackpot that can be won by landing a royal flush or straight flush.

The rules of the game are usually always the same, regardless of the casino you are playing in. However, the payouts may vary from one casino to another, so make sure you get familiar with the rules in detail before you start playing.
