Quads definition and meaning

Quads has the same meaning both inside and outside casinos, and it refers to something that comes in fours. When it comes to poker, in particular, the term quads refers to four of a kind. In Texas Hold’em, which is one of the most popular variants of poker, quads is one of the strongest hands a player can have and is only bested by a higher ranking four of a kind hand, a straight flush or a royal flush.
