Beef definition and meaning

Beef is a term used both outside and inside casino establishments.

Outside casinos, the term beef is used as slang to refer to you or someone else having a problem with someone in particular. In other words, it is used to explain that two parties don’t like each other and that they are not on friendly terms.

Similarly, when it comes to gaming terms, beef refers to a dispute or claim between a player and a casino or sportsbook.

For example, if the aggregate limit is not displayed properly at the casino’s table and you win higher than the aggregate limit, you can have a beef with the casino, and you may ask an independent party to investigate your claim and see if you are eligible to be paid in full.
