Play’n GO Lands an Ontario Supplier License

Mar 31, 2022 Anna Kiselova
Play’n GO — one of the world’s leading gaming entertainment suppliers, will surprise Ontarians with a portfolio of titles they have not seen before. Play’n GO has secured a supplier license that will allow it to operate in Ontario, Canada. The gaming market will open on April 4 and bring excitement to the province

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) awarded Play’n GO a gaming license, allowing it to offer its extensive selection of games in Ontario, effective in April.

The AGCO isn’t known for providing licenses, so Play’n GO receiving one marks it as one of the first suppliers to get one. Players in Ontario will have access to a range of popular Play’n GO titles such as Book of Dead, Rise of Olympus, Tome of Madness, Reactoonz, and more.

Chief commercial officer at Play’n GO, Magnus Olsson, said that regulated markets represent a safe playing environment, help build a secure industry, and aid Play’n GO’s business strategy. He added that this allows players to enjoy the fun and exciting journey while developers get to focus on delivering top content.

He noted that Ontario is an important market, representing 40% of Canada’s population, saying that the operator is looking forward to gaining a faithful following. Olsson also stated that this step is only the first one towards conquering North America, adding that future plans see Play’n GO offering its portfolio in select US states.

He promised an exciting year for Play’n GO due to all the changes that the operator is set to make.

Play’n GO’s chief risk and compliance officer, Sissel Weitzhandler, said that the company’s strategy remains focused on regulated markets, simultaneously thanking the AGCO for the license.
