Evolution Boosts Its Network By Acquiring Livespins

The beginning of February has marked a huge milestone for Evolution. Its subsidiary, Evolution Malta Holding, has agreed to take over a B2B live-streaming games provider, Livespins, for an initial cash consideration of €5 million (roughly $5.4 million).
Under the agreement, Evolution will purchase Livespin’s entire share capital, and Livespins will be entitled to a performance-based earn-out payment in 2026, securing a mutually beneficial relationship. Several closing conditions must be met, but the transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2024.

By taking this step, the brand contributes to its ambitious “Product Leap” plans, which aim to redefine the gaming experience with innovative solutions and novel ways of playing.

Specialising in live entertainment, Livespins is a pioneer provider of social streaming games. What sets it apart from the competition is that the company offers players an opportunity to bet on their favourite streamers, influencers, and brand ambassadors. This innovative approach encourages people to feel like a part of a community, elevating the betting experience altogether.

Livespins will remain consistent with its brand identity as part of the Evolution Group, joining Evolution, Ezugi, Big Time Gaming, NetEnt, Digi Wheel, Red Tiger, and Nolimit City.

According to Evolution’s Chief Product Officer Todd Haushalter, playing online casino games with a streamer offers players an entirely new experience. This was something they had planned to do, so the company jumped at the chance when the opportunity to acquire Livespins arose. Using the studio’s One Stop Shop (OSS) integration and merging their top-notch technology and expertise, Livespins will be able to take advantage of Evolution’s huge game portfolio instantly.

Haushalter adds that streaming live while playing online casino games is becoming increasingly popular on Twitch, YouTube, and other platforms. The company believes the audience will appreciate the opportunity to play along with streamers now that this option is set to be available straight from Evolution’s lobby.

Chris Scicluna, Livespins’ CEO, has said that the company couldn’t be happier to join Evolution Group, making this a truly historic event for them. Even though they have integrated content from over 40 studios, they are still in the early stages of development, which makes the fact that Evolution has shown interest in the project particularly impressive. Scicluna concludes that their team has dedicated countless hours to developing this concept; therefore, Livespins is confident their product will revolutionise the gaming industry.

Evolution’s latest acquisition will enable it to become an even more dominant player in the casino industry. Integrating Livespin’s innovative B2B social streaming gaming platform into Evolution’s game collection will undoubtedly enhance its portfolio and engage players like never before.
