EGR Global or eGaming Review is a major online source that covers gambling events and organizes the most important industry occasion. An operator awards ceremony has been recently held, whose results were eagerly awaited by the public. Read on to learn more about EGR and how the latest awards ceremony was.

Portals

Being the main online source of the gambling sphere, EGR owns several portals.

Each of the portals specializes in a particular subject: EGR Marketing, EGR Technology and EGR North America.

The portals regularly publish news, interviews and comments of the most influential people of the gambling business for B2B market. In addition, reports and research in the field of sportsbooks, casinos, bingo, poker, affiliators, jurisdictions and payments are published in online and printed forms. The creation of the materials involves a team of experienced specialists: Andy Roocroft, Melanie Dayasens-Lowe, Brad Allen and others.

“Whether I want to keep abreast of the latest developments, or look for a detailed analysis of some issue, EGR undoubtedly takes the lead when it comes to industry news.”

Jay Dossetter, a corporate communication specialist at GVC Holdings

Events

EGR also organizes various events like Breakfast Briefing, Power 50 Summit and the most prestigious gaming award: EGR Operator Award. The main event organizer is Niamh Gallagher, a specialist with vast experience in international events.

For 2017, 41 EGR events have been planned, including awards ceremonies, briefings, summits and webinars.

For example, during November 13th-14th, 2017, EGR Future Digital Summit was held in Hampshire, Great Britain. This exclusive event is dedicated to advanced technologies, products and digital marketing of the online gambling industry. This event was an excellent meeting point for operators where they learned and discussed new trends in the use of data, cyber security, marketing, artificial intelligence, customer acquisition, etc. This summit was possible to participate in by invitation only, in contrast to EGR Operator Awards 2017.

EGR Operator Awards 2017

The importance of EGR Operator Awards 2017 can be compared with the Oscar Award Ceremony. It appraises the most successful operators and trend-setters in customer service and Fair Play.

This annual event always attracts hundreds of professionals from leading gambling companies around the world. This year, the forum was held on October 26th in London.

It all started at 18.30 with a reception with drinks and dinner. At 21.30, the most important part of the program followed: the awards ceremony.

Operators competed in 30 categories; bookmakers, rising stars, game of the year, affiliates awarding hour, and, of course, operator of the year. Here you are the nominees in the “Operator of the Year” category:

  • Bet365
  • Ladbrokes Coral
  • LeoVegas
  • Lottoland
  • Mr Green
  • Pinnacle
  • Sky Betting & Gaming
  • The Stars Group

The panel of judges was represented by 22 professionals, among them:

  • Alun Bowden, Senior Consultant at Eilers & Krejcik Gaming
  • Andrew Daniel, Managing Director of Degree 53
  • Chris Harrison, Head of financial trading and e-gaming at Google
  • Christina Thakor-Rankin, Chief Consultant at 1710 Gaming
  • Dan Waugh, partner at Regulus Partners

The ceremony was held by Patrick Monahan, the host who has conducted events in Australia, Dubai, Doha, Barbados, Spain, France, Estonia, Ireland and other countries, including a large number of comedy events. In many ways thanks to him, this show was appealing, atmospheric and full of humor.

However, the most important question, of course, was who became the winners. This year, this honor was awarded to bet365, and here is the judging panel’s comment on its choice:

“Phenomenal success in all spheres of business makes it obvious that this operator should become the winner of the year. The “Operator of the Year” award reflects 12 months of the highest revenue and profit growth in the market reached thanks to innovations, changes and their perfect implementation. The company keeps developing its product and interaction with customers from more than 150 countries of the world.”

For each operator, participation in such an important event is honorable, not to mention the victory. EGR is a good goal to look for ways to develop business and achieve high results. And it is SoftGamings that can help you approach this goal with the acquisition of quality software.
